Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026 / Effective: July 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to the Inbasket mobile application (the "App") and describes how the App's developer ("Developer", "we", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

This Policy is the English translation of the original Japanese version of our Privacy Policy. In the event of any inconsistency between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the categories of information described below. We do not engage in "tracking" as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework (NSPrivacyTracking = false), we do not collect the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), and no App Tracking Transparency consent prompt is shown.

1.1 Information You Provide (stored on your device)

The App does not require account registration or sign-in. This information is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to any server operated by us; we cannot view its contents. It is not shared with third parties.

1.2 Usage and Diagnostic Information (via Firebase)

The App uses Firebase services provided by Google LLC (Google Analytics for Firebase) to help us detect issues, improve features, and understand how the App is used. This includes:

The App does not collect the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), and this information is not associated with your name, email, or other personally identifying information.

1.3 Advertising Measurement (Conversion Measurement)

The Developer may run Google Ads campaigns to promote the App. Conversion measurement for such campaigns uses Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework, which measures ad conversions (such as installs) only in aggregated form and does not identify individual users or track users across other companies' apps or websites. The App does not display advertising to users (there is no third-party ad inventory within the App).

1.4 Purchase Information

The App offers an auto-renewable subscription, "Inbasket Premium". When you purchase or restore a subscription, we receive transaction information from Apple (such as App Store transaction ID, product ID, purchase date, and subscription status) in order to verify and maintain your entitlement. This purchase information is sent to and processed and stored on the servers of RevenueCat, Inc. (United States), which provides purchase management and receipt validation. We do not collect credit card numbers or other payment instrument details directly.

1.5 Information You Provide When Contacting Us

If you contact us through our Google Form support channel, we receive the email address, name, and message content you choose to provide. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Collect Information

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

4. Sharing and External Transmission

4.1 Sharing with Third Parties

We do not share your information with third parties except:

4.2 Service Providers and International Transfers

To operate the App, we transmit certain information to the following service providers. These providers process information on our behalf and, in principle, do not use it for their own purposes. These providers may be located outside Japan, including in the United States, and information may be transferred to and stored in those countries. None of these transmissions are used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Transmission of information to the service providers located in the United States may constitute a cross-border transfer of personal data to a third party in a foreign country under Article 28 of Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information. Such transfers are made on the basis of your consent to this Policy. Information about the personal data protection regime of the United States, and about the safeguards each provider has implemented to protect personal data, is available on request through the contact in Section 9. Each provider handles information only to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Policy and maintains appropriate safeguards.

5. Information Collected to Protect Content

The exercises, cases, model answers, and explanations provided in the App ("Content") are confidential study materials. To protect the Content, the App may detect when you take a screenshot or start a screen recording on your device. When detected, the App may display a warning or record the fact that such an event occurred (including the date and time). This record is used solely to maintain the safety and integrity of the App; we do not capture or store the actual screen contents (the image or video itself) that were captured or recorded.

6. Retention

7. Your Rights and Choices

You may request that we notify you of the purpose of use, disclose, correct, add to, delete, suspend the use of, erase, or stop third-party provision of information we hold about you, by contacting us using the information in Section 9. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity.

If you wish to stop the App from sending analytics data, you can uninstall the App, which prevents any further transmission. You may also contact us using the information in Section 9 to request opt-out from analytics or to exercise your other rights, and we will accommodate such requests to the extent technically feasible.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent under applicable local law). The App's 4+ age rating reflects the absence of objectionable content and does not indicate that the App is intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect information from such children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete that information. Parents or guardians who believe that their child may have provided information through the App may contact us using the information in Section 9.

If the changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice through in-app messages or other appropriate means.

11. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

This Policy is provided by the Developer for general informational purposes and is not a substitute for individualized legal advice.
